HearingLife is the Official Hearing Care Partner of USA Pickleball™
Hearing and Pickleball go together like pickles and jars! Staying healthy and active is important at every age – so we’ve teamed up with USA Pickleball to make sure players and enthusiasts know the importance of hearing for an active lifestyle.
Pickleball is an inherently social sport that is played on a smaller court than tennis and with smaller paddles and balls, making it a game anyone can enjoy! Pickleball is great for cardiovascular health, socializing, coordination and balance, plus men, women and even children can play together.
Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in America – now’s a great time to start playing!
Playing pickleball means time with friends, but to enjoy it, you need to be able to hear well. If you're not currently having annual hearing assessments, or you've been putting off getting hearing aids you need, you may be missing out on some of the fun!
Caring for your hearing health, including wearing hearing aids when needed, is the key to staying active and enjoying all life has to offer.

Hearing tips for pickleball players and enthusiasts
- If you have trouble hearing or wear hearing aids, let your pickleball friends know. That way, they can be sure to get your attention before speaking to you on the court.
- Use visual cues and read up on the game before you play – check out how-to-play resources from USA Pickleball.
- Consider using your remote microphone if playing with a referee in a tournament. Ask the referee to put your phone in their pocket so you can hear any important game calls made directly into your hearing aids.
Hearing checkups help keep you on top of your game
Even if you don’t have signs of hearing loss, regular hearing checkups help establish a baseline for your hearing health and also detect earwax buildup or other conditions. Having annual hearing assessments after age 50 means you'll know as soon as possible if you need hearing devices. Our hearing care experts know that the sooner you treat hearing loss, the less you miss out on!
