Lisa Tessier grew up in South Hadley, Massachusetts and moved to Stratham, New Hampshire in 1998. She has been practicing audiology for nearly 30 years, working as a clinician in both an otolaryngology clinic and a private practice before coming to HearingLife in 2024. Dr. Tessier received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from the University of New Hampshire in 1993 and continued to receive her master’s degree in Audiology from the University of Connecticut in 1995. She decided to further her education and received her clinical Doctorate in Audiology from A.T. Still University in 2005.

Having worked in various settings through her career, Dr. Tessier’s knowledge has provided her with extensive expertise in hearing diagnostics and treatment of hearing disorders. Dr. Tessier is licensed to practice Audiology in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine. She has been a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) since 1993 and obtained the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from that association in 1995.

Dr. Tessier had a history of middle ear infections as a child and multiple ear surgeries which is what piqued her interest in the audiology field. She started wearing hearing aids about 5 years ago, which provides a unique experience from both a clinical and personal perspective.

When she is not in the clinic assisting patients and helping them improve their hearing, Dr. Tessier enjoys reading, amateur photography and spending time at her grandparents’ cabin in western New Hampshire with her family.
