Tammy Backeris came to Hearing Life, formerly AccuQuest Hearing Centers, in May, 2014. Prior to her tenure at AccuQuest, she worked at Hearing Unlimited’s Forbes Regional Hospital office, and prior to that, at AudioLogics’ Masonic Village campus in Sewickley, PA.

Tammy holds her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and is registered as a certified Hearing Aid Fitter with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Hearing Aid Program. She has been helping adults hear better since 2005, and specializes in helping the hearing impaired, and their families, cope with the unique needs that hearing loss presents to them. Her ability to accurately evaluate hearing loss, assess a customer’s lifestyle needs, and implement a course of action that the customer and family can live with, are key components to her approach. She specializes in fitting hearing aids as well as onesided impairments with CROS and BiCROS fittings.

I am very pleased with my service at Hearing Life. The testing was easy and the staff were knowledgeable about the process and the products. Knowing everything about the available products helped me to make the right decision for my hearing aid purchase. When I got my aids, I was so happy. I white the pretty blue ones. They are so cool looking and I can hear so well with them in. The staff went over all the different things that my new hearing aids can do and that was when I knew that I had made the right choice not only in my new hearing aids but in the facility that I went to. I would have taken a picture but you can’t see the aids when they’re in.

Tammy, Sarah and Pam are the best. They were so patient with explaining everything to me. I was so against getting hearing aids. My husband dragged me kicking and screaming to Hearing Life and I’m thrilled he did. I can hear him even if I don’t want to and the TV is no longer on volume 32.

We went into Hearing LIfe to learn about hearing aids and whether I was a good candidate for that service. We were treated wonderfully, respectfully, and with attention to our questions and needs. Sara, Tammy and Pam were all excellent providers for our visit. Tammy went above and beyond to make sure I had the right product and that that product would work for me.

Tammy was fantastic. I had a very thorough hearing test and she explained everything. She's very informative about hearing loss and and why it happens. Would definitely recommend this place.
