Dr. Deborah Brooks has been a practicing audiologist since 2001. She has worked in various settings, such as non-profit organizations; ear, nose and throat (ENT) medical offices; and private practices. Dr. Brooks earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison; her master's degree from Washington University in St. Louis; and her doctorate degree in Audiology (Au.D.) from Salus University. She is originally from New York, but has practiced audiology in Georgia and Florida as well. Dr. Brooks’ areas of expertise include high-tech hearing aids, diagnostics, wireless connectivity, assistive listening devices, aural rehabilitation and tinnitus retraining therapy.

Dr. Brooks is affiliated with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with family and her dogs.

After earning her bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Connecticut, Stephanie LaForge, M.S., CCC-A, went on to obtain her master’s degree in Audiology from the nationally recognized program at Florida State University. She quickly added to these credentials by earning licensure to practice within the state of Florida. Stephanie is a longstanding member of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and the Florida Academy of Audiology.

During her nearly 25 years of caring for her customers’ hearing health at her own office, as well as in various ear, nose and throat (ENT) settings, including the Cleveland Clinic in Florida, Stephanie has unwaveringly spread the word about the profound connection between hearing health and whole-body health. As a hearing aid wearer herself, knowing the importance of hearing health and the benefits it provides to quality of life, Stephanie is passionate about her work. She keeps abreast of the latest technology and hearing solutions to provide the best hearing care options available for her customers.

Stephanie is very knowledgeable and help you make the best choice of the hearing aid that I chose I did have a problem with it and while they had it for over a month and a half was unaware that UPS started out with keeping it in their office for over a week before it got shipped out Stephanie help resolve the issue and also gave me an additional 1-year warranty on my hearing aids can't beat customer service like that

I have been to other HearingLife offices and by far this one is the best. Stephanie is an expert in her field and I felt well cared for. The staff is helpful and efficient. The waiting room is comfortable with TV, magazines, and coffee. You can't ask for anything more.
I highly recommend this location.

Excellent service had other hearing aids and was unable to hear. Finally am able to hear and even hear on the phone (headset) in office. Highly recommend and travel 45 miles each way from Port St Lucie, FL

Hearing Life Palm Beach Gardens was supportive and responsive to my hearing needs.
I hadn't had my hearing aids updated in 10 years. Nor followed up on an examine 3 years ago. My past experiences weren't good.

However.....

Stephanie’s LaGorge’s wealth of knowledge and explanation of the issues I was having was spot on and easy to understand.
I need explanation of how the tests work and what they are looking for and how they work. She told me.

Through my prior research I wasn't sure if I should go to a box store for cheaper units.
My previous one were top notch and she explained the amazing technological advances in the new ones.
And the difference in the brands sold at box stores ans through them.

After all, You don't got to Toyota to by a Mercedes. They don't sell it.

She spent the time with me and even invited my wife in for my follow up so she knows what to look for in the future.
And hopefully explain that I really wasn't rhearing her clearly. Ha ha

I highly recommend the Palm Beach Gardens office.

Dr Brooks was terrific. She spoke with me at length about any issues I was experiencing with my relatively new hearing aids. She performed a very thorough hearing test on me and explained the results in an understandable manner. She adjusted the settings on my hearing aids to optimize the manner in which they worked for me. She educated me on how to most effectively utilize my Opticon app. She was wonderful.
