Dr. Bonnie Scott grew up in western New York and has spent time living and working in Los Angeles, CA, Austin, TX, and more recently, Michigan. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Texas at Austin and went on to complete her Doctor of Audiology degree at Central Michigan University.Dr. Scott specializes in hearing assessments and instruments and has worked with all major hearing aid manufacturers and levels of technology. She also has experience with cochlear implant assessment and mapping. She recently relocated to the Detroit metropolitan area and is very happy to be the latest addition to the HearingLife team of hearing healthcare professionals.Dr. Scott chose audiology as a second career to help those with hearing impairment reconnect with the people in their lives. “Helping patients find an improved quality of life through better hearing has been both personally and professionally rewarding for me. Helen Keller, who has been my greatest inspiration, said: ‘Blindness separates us from things, but deafness separates us from people,’ and that is so very true.” Dr. Scott is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
