HearingLife’s People Who Care series is meant to introduce you to just a few of our many hearing healthcare providers who serve you with professional, personalized care at our nationwide locations.
Today, meet Taunya Hough, BC-HIS, who works at our Springfield, Ohio HearingLife. Taunya has been serving her community as a hearing instrument specialist for over 30 years.
“Knowing I helped a new HearingLife family member improve the quality of their life is so rewarding,” says Taunya.
Taunya worked in hearing care before earning her license to fit hearing aids and decided quickly that assisting people by helping them communicate better was what she wanted to do with her life. She also worked as a district manager for HearingLIfe.
“I saw countless people come into the office and leave with the ability to communicate better with their familiar voices and families,” says Taunya.
“Being able to hear the world around us is vital to our wellbeing,” she explains. “It helps improve your life and may even help prevent cognitive decline.”
Taunya helps to train new hearing instrument specialists for their licensing and in her free time, she enjoys gardening, kayaking and spending time with her family, including her daughter who is a veterinarian.
