Robert Lyons, a bus driver for the Akron Public School District, was gifted a free pair of hearing aids through The Campaign for Better Hearing.
Mr. Lyons transports students to and from school, some with autism and special needs, which requires him to hear other vehicles on the road, students on the bus, or any other sounds happening around him while driving.
“I’m thankful, very thankful. I feel like I can do my job better. I can be a better grandpa, a better father. Those are my go-to’s in life,” said Lyons.
