Tim Kerr has had profound hearing loss his entire life and his current hearing aids are over 12 years old – far beyond the expected life of the devices. When our HearingLife team in Morehead City, North Carolina met Tim, they were moved by his story.
Not only is Tim working full-time and active in his church, he also cares for his mother and lives with her so she doesn’t lose her home.
“Tim strives to make such a positive impact on others even when he is struggling with his own battles,” says Carita Piner Martin, the patient care coordinator at HearingLife, who nominated him for the program. “Tim is special because he has worked so hard all his life for something most of us take for granted, hearing.”
Tim received a free pair of hearing aids through The Campaign for Better Hearing Give Back Program and his story was shared by local news station WNCT:
