Dr. Danielle Zion is a highly skilled audiologist with a strong background in both clinical and research audiology. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2008 and went on to earn her doctorate in Clinical Audiology (Au.D.) in 2012 from the same institution. As part of her doctoral education and training, she completed her fourth-year externship in the Division of Audiology at the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) in Baltimore, Maryland, providing clinical services to patients of all ages. In addition, she obtained NIH funding to conduct her Capstone research project at Boys Town National Research Hospital in Boys Town, Nebraska, investigating vocal emotion recognition by cochlear implant patients. Dr. Zion began her career in 2013 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, where she gained extensive experience in diagnosing and treating hearing and balance disorders among active military and veteran populations and their family members. She also worked as a Research Audiologist during her time at Walter Reed, conducting translational research in a wide variety of audiological disorders and contributing to the development of innovative, evidence-based treatment approaches to hearing-related communication disorders. Dr. Zion's decade of experience also includes teaching undergraduate and graduate level Hearing and Speech Sciences courses at UMD, training and mentoring audiology students, and providing subject matter expertise in audiology and amplification in hearing aid industry and retail settings outside traditional audiology clinics. With her diverse background and expertise, Dr. Zion is dedicated to providing exceptional care to her patients and improving their quality of life through better hearing.

Lisa Marencin earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Speech-Language Pathology from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania in 1984, and her Master of Science (M.S.) degree from the Pennsylvania State University in 1986. She has maintained a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association since 1986, and has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (FAAA) since 1996.

Lisa began her career as a pediatric audiologist, identifying and treating children with hearing loss as a member of both a multidisciplinary early intervention team and special needs cleft palate-craniofacial care team. She next joined a private ear, nose and throat (ENT) practice, where she gained extensive experience in adult comprehensive audiologic, electrophysiologic and vestibular evaluation and hearing aid dispensing. She has been a member of the Hearing Services of Delaware hearing care team since 2008.

Dr. Rebecca Castro grew up in Pennsville, New Jersey. She received her undergraduate degree from Hofstra University and her doctoral degree from Gallaudet University. Additionally, while attending Gallaudet, she was an instructor for the Peer Mentoring Program. Dr. Castro is committed to providing the tools and support necessary to help people with hearing loss and the deaf/hard of hearing community meet their communication goals. She is fluent in American Sign Language.

Dr. Castro is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She maintains an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology.
