Dr. Leslie Soiles founded HearingLife’s Shrewsbury’s office (formerly New England Hearing Instruments) in 1996. As a Doctor of Audiology, she previously worked with Ear, Nose and Throat physicians for the first 20 years of her career.Dr. Soiles earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences in 2006; her Master of Science degree in Audiology from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst in 1985; and a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Worcester State University in 1982.In 2018, Dr. Soiles received the distinguished honor of the appointed role as Chief Audiologist for both HearingLife and the National Campaign for Better Hearing program in the U.S. As Chief Audiologist, Dr. Soiles trains and mentors hearing care providers, staff and people with hearing loss across the United States. Dr. Soiles was born with hearing loss and utilizes amplification. Her patients find her unique insights regarding life with hearing aids to be a valuable resource. This personal experience with hearing loss, coupled with her professional experience, inspired her to create a different kind of hearing services practice. Dr. Soiles believes that an informed decision makes for a stronger decision. That’s why she provides detailed information and education relating to their hearing loss, as well as their options.

Eva Mele is a Hearing Instrument Specialist licensed through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Worcester State University. Eva has had the opportunity to work in various settings throughout her career, providing her with extensive clinical experience. She is passionate about hearing health and eager to apply her knowledge and expertise to address the needs of the community.

Krystal MacKay

Hearing Instrument Specialist Lic. #486

Krystal MacKay was born and raised in central Massachusetts. She was inspired to join the hearing healthcare field in 2010 after a family member received treatment for their hearing loss. She received her Hearing Instrument Specialist licensure from the International Hearing Society in 2019. In 2020, Krystal was recognized as HearingLife’s President’s Club Rookie of the Year. Her customers routinely compliment her on her ability to clearly explain their hearing condition and provide effective solutions based on their unique needs.

When Krystal is not “helping the world hear better, one ear at a time,” she enjoys spending quality time with family, especially her niece and nephew. Outside the office, she loves to cook, travel and enjoy the outdoors.
